Bill Clinton Progressive Majority is seeking qualified interns! .....

With the typical December news hole upon us (See: CNN pretending that someone actually cares about Miss USA and company), and in honor of IMPEACHMENT DAY, I bring you this:

Progressive Majority is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time paid internship with our Development Department. Stipend is $500/month and starting date will be in mid-January. All applicants must support a broad progressive agenda and be committed to using the electoral political process to effect social change. Job Description/Duties – Works with the Development staff to increase donors/donations to Progressive Majority and endorsed candidates, communicate with current members and donors, and to help cultivate new and potential funding.

Responsibilities include:
• Helping to organize fundraising and network-building events across the country;
• Identifying outreach lists and opportunities for Progressive Majority events and national networking;
• Researching prospective donors;
• Helping to maintain donor and contact database;
• Communicating with donors and contacts;
• Compiling relevant news articles and information to keep Progressive
Majority members and supporters informed of key events;
• Working on special projects as needed; and
• Other administrative duties as assigned by the Development Staff

It just so happens I need an internship to graduate at George Mason.

I am working on a Master's certificate in professional writing and editing. The job has to offer ample opportunities to write, edit and research. It can't be some flunky office clerk kind of job.
