As suspected, Saddam's execution inflaming sectarian anger, or is it?

Reuters is reporting that guards filmed Saddam's execution using a cell phone, something most of us became aware of yesterday when the video first surfaced. The guards were heard telling Saddam to "go to hell," and exchanging insults back and forth with the former dictator. The article claims that the video is responsible for inflaming sectarian violence in Iraq, and one "witness" blamed the video for sparking a "riot among mainly Sunni Arab inmates at a jail near the northern city of Mosul." In addition to that, shortly after Saddam was executed, several car bombings killed more than 70 people in Shi'ite neighborhoods across Iraq.

I'm not sure where Reuters comes off blaming Saddam's execution for any violence in Iraq though, especially when said violence has become almost a daily occurrence in Iraq, and they provide NO PROOF that any of the violence was directly tied to Saddam's execution.

The media blames anything they can on whatever the Bush administration says is to blame in there official press releases. Might as well have a 24/7 news network with nothing but scrolling whitehouse press releases.

You must be a member of the SwacGirl legion of peons who really needs to look at dictionary.com before posting.

I don't know "damn well" that Saddam's execution was directly tied to violence since IRAQ IS IN A CIVIL WAR, AND VIOLENCE HAPPENS ON A MINUTE BY MINUTE BASIS THERE.

Do you happen to have a source? I'd like to post something about that if indeed true...
