I must say your posts Terry are very mature. I mean after all how articulate a president speaks is what makes a good president isn't it? Jimmy Carter was a wonderful speaker, but we don't have to go into the history books to remember how successful his administration was now do we?
Well, first of all, thanks for stopping by, and reading.
Second of all, I addressed this issue yesterday when I user brought up his/her concerns about my post regarding the Washington Times. My blogs welcoming description on the top of the column to the right says "National political discussion, debate, satire, and news! 'Capitol Intensive Blogging' from the left - with a focus on Virginia!"
You were warned, so please do not take offense. In addition to that, I did not WRITE that headline (if you actually clicked the Fark link, you would have known that), and even more importantly that that, my "Daily RunDown" posts typically utilize more sarcasm than I otherwise do. :)
"...when I user brought...
Should say 'when A user brought..', sorry.
Well you are right and I apologize, i just think that even if we don't agree with a politician they at least deserve to be called by their name or position of office (for example, PResident Bush).
I disagree that politicians deserve respect simply because of the office they hold. I disagree that ANYONE deserves respect without having earned it.
George Bush has not EARNED my respect.
even though the people of the United States elected him?
DCBaseball is right - just because you don't like W, he still is the president. Respect the office first...

Sorry, I don't respect the office simply BECAUSE. I'll respect George Bush when he learns to respect myself, and the rest of the American people (and the country).
Look, I think Bush is doing a horrible job...however, he WAS elected and he should be treated with respect re: that office.
Additionally, I don't like Governor Kaine, but if I saw the governor on the street I would call him Governor Kaine and not Tim...
and that's all I'm saying. I am very conservative, but I think Bush has managed the war horribly and has done less than a bang up job in his second term. But he was still elected, by the people, as President of the United States of America.
Once again, I do not respect something "just because," sorry.
That's a very anarchist view...

No it's not, that view I have goes for ANYONE in ANY position. People have to EARN my respect. I don't just GIVE it to them. I suppose we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. :)
I guess so
