I (sort of) hate to do this....
But I'm becoming a Republican.
Ha ha, just kidding. Actually, I'm changing the address of my blog. Why? Because I like confusing you all Well, for many reasons, first (and foremost) my life is rapidly changing, I'm getting ready to move to a new city (Washington, DC), start a new job (employers take note), and finish out the remainder of my BA at a new school. Not only that, but like Jaime, I plan on (occasionally) writing about something other than politics, I also plan on using a bit more humor, sarcasm, and satire than I have in the past when blogging about politics.
Aside from all that, I think we can all agree that "The Liberal Progressive" is unequivocally the most unoriginal name in the entire blogosphere (well, with the possible exception of this shit), and I want all readers to value (or disregard?) my opinion without a predetermined bias against me (or "for" me) simply due to the name of my blog.
I plan on actually switching it all over sometime tomorrow most likely, but if I get tired of searching DC apt. listings on Craigslist tonight, I may do it later this evening whenever I get around to it (sometime this week more than likely). The new address will be http://www.thecoletteblog.blogspot.com, OR http://www.thecolette.com. Hopefully godaddy will get their shit together and the domain forwarding I have setup will finally kick in some time this evening.
Basically all I'm doing is changing the listing address I have on file with Blogger, and I'm not exactly sure what that's going to do (being that it's Blogger though, my guess is that their entire system will crash). My GUESS is that all of my post will be located at the same address, but just enter "thecoletteblog" instead of "theliberalprogressive," and my HOPE is that I will not lose my Google PageRank (but I'm not counting on it). I'm also not sure how my site feed is going to react either. I do know, however, that my archives and page layout will remain.
Anyway, to those of you kind enough to have blogrolled me, please update your links accordingly whenever you get a chance! And to the five three of you who have read on a regular basis, thanks!
Terry
