Newt Gingrich launching 2008 presidential bid?

Credit to West of Shockoe for this one. Worthy of note is Newt's jab at the reporter in the opening of the article, and then an apparent attack on other Republicans who will apparently be running,

"Nice people, but we're not in the same business. They're running for president. I'm running to change the country."

Gingrich acts as though it's not something he wants to do, but rather something that has become necessary, going on later in the article to say:

"I would not have thought that I would be necessary."

So Newt, you're ADMITTING that George Bush has screwed this country up so much that you think you're the only one who can fix it? Nice...

Furthermore, Gingrich seems to imply, at least in this article, that he thinks the nomination will just come to him, with little effort, which we can all agree is stupid. Former House majority leader Dick Armey thinks so too:

"I don't think he's going to be nominated unless he runs a full-blown campaign."

The article goes on to say that Gingrich will launch a "527 group" in December called "American Solutions for Winning the Future" enabling him to raise and spend unlimited money in his presidential bid. A strategy meeting with advisers will be conducted in January, and by next Fall Gingrich will decide whether or not to make the bid official.

Anyway, it's worth reading if you get a chance.
