Every Republican Is Crucial!

Didn't you know? Every Republican Is Crucial! At least according to Congressman Eric Cantor (R-VA) who actually named his new Political Action Committee after himself - "Every Republican Is Crucial! Forgive me but LOL! Does he think that's cute? Clever? It's really not, especially for a man who after the Democrats swept the November elections, ran around touting his own supposed bi-partisanship, and calling for more bi-partisan efforts.

As if that wasn't enough to make you wonder about the sanity of the man, checkout this excerpt from Hardball with Chris Matthews last night (Via Jaime at West of Shockoe):

Chris Matthews: …why did the president ask for approval of Congress before he went to Iraq?

Eric Cantor: Well, you know, I certainly think that his counsel gave him guidance as to why he needed to do that, but at the end of the day the Constitution gives the commander and chief the right to send our troops into battle. Matthews was flabbergasted.

According to Jaime:
Matthews was flabbergasted. This, my friends, is—the Republic Party.
Chris Matthews may be surprised, but as someone who unfortunately lives in Cantor's district (although I'd hardly call him my Representative, since he doesn't represent my beliefs, AT ALL), I've long known that Eric Cantor possesses the foreign policy knowledge of a five year old, and only gets re-elected every two years partially because he sits in one of the most gerrymandered districts in the state, stretching from just north of Richmond, all the way north to Harrisonburg.

I don't want to steal Jaime's thunder though, so go here to read more about Cantor's new "PAC," and here to read the full transcript of his interview on Hardball (it's definitely a jaw-dropper).

UPDATE: Lowell over at Raising Kaine has posted the video of the interview that appeared on YouTube - Cantor's stupidity is enough to make your stomach turn:
