Republican moral values for the win!

When it comes to divorce, that is. In fact, among "top tier" hopefuls, Republicans lead the Democrats 4-0. If you include "long-shots" Dennis Kucinich's two divorces and Chris Dodd's one, the "score" is 4-3. If you include Rudy Giuliani's annulment, the "score" becomes 5-3. Republicans - for the win!

Now, this wouldn't be nearly as large an issue as it is, if the Republicans didn't spout off at the mouth all the time about how they are the party of "morals," and use those so called "morals" to promote hatred and violence toward homosexuals.

Via Cox Washington:

The GOP has long touted itself as the party of family values, but its developing 2008 presidential field has recorded four divorces and one annulment, compared to three divorces among the Democrats.

Funny, those "values" they have, and that suppression of equal rights for gays doesn't seem to be helping them any in the so called "moral" department.

[Hat tip Marcos over at Daily Kos!]

I'd also like to use this opportunity to mention that "Freedom to Marry Week" is February 11-17, for more information on that, click here!

UPDATE: I should also mention that in 2000, Rudy Giuliani broke the news to his then wife that he would be leaving her for another woman BY HOLDING A PUBLIC NEWS CONFERENCE without his then current wife's knowledge!
