UPDATE: Mars Candy Company decides NOT to take homophobic ad campaign any further!!

Earlier today, I reported on the Mars Candy Company's decision to run extremely distasteful and homophobic commercials during last night's Super Bowl, and their plan to run the same ad with a different ending, in the future. The ads were so disrespectful to gays that one of the "possible endings" for the upcoming commercial depicted two men so disgusted by the act of kissing another man that they poured car engine fluid into their mouths.

Anyway, in the end, the candy company has decided to stop the ad campaign after getting what I would assume amounted to thousands of complaints following AmericaBlog's coverage of the ads all day today.

Good to see that swift action was taken to end the bigoted commercial campaign.
