MIDDAY UPDATE: Heavy turnout so far today, especially in NOVA.

The AP is reporting that as much as 65 percent of registered voters could turn out today to cast a ballot in our Senate election. The AP reports particularly heavy turnout in the counties of Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William. Even in Roanoke, with a chilly rain falling turnout was steady as of earlier this morning. According to the RTD, in Alebemarle county, 17 percent of the counties 61,000 registered voters had already voted as of 9am.

CNN has also been reporting very heavy turnout across the state all morning.
