Let's turn them gay!
Posted by Terry Carter at 8:15 PM | 1 comment(s)
Hey look! Instead of killing our enemies during war, some dumb fuck somewhere in the Bush administration proposed a plan (and the military researched continues to research it too!) to build a bomb to turn our enemies gay!
A Berkeley watchdog organization that tracks military spending said it uncovered a strange U.S. military proposal to create a hormone bomb that could purportedly turn enemy soldiers into homosexuals and make them more interested in sex than fighting. So the military believes that the only thing on the mind of homosexuals is sex?
The documents show the Air Force lab asked for $7.5 million to develop such a chemical weapon.Your tax dollars hard at work!!
"The Ohio Air Force lab proposed that a bomb be developed that contained a chemical that would cause enemy soldiers to become gay, and to have their units break down because all their soldiers became irresistibly attractive to one another," Hammond said after reviewing the documents. All gay people are irresistibly attracted to each other! Just like all black people are irresistibly attracted to one another, and all Jews are irresistibly attracted to one another!!!!!
"The Department of Defense is committed to identifying, researching and developing non-lethal weapons that will support our men and women in uniform," said a DOD spokesperson, who indicated that the "gay bomb" idea was quickly dismissed. What a bunch of jackasses. Homosexuality is something you're born with. It's not something you choose, and it's not something that is a product of how you were raised, or circumstances you may have faced in the past. It is not a disease, you cannot cure it, and I highly doubt you can create some magic chemical to turn people gay. But, you know, don't let science get in the way of anything. However, Hammond said the government records he obtained suggest the military gave the plan much stronger consideration than it has acknowledged.
"The truth of the matter is it would have never come to my attention if it was dismissed at the time it was proposed," he said. "In fact, the Pentagon has used it repeatedly and subsequently in an effort to promote non-lethal weapons, and in fact they submitted it to the highest scientific review body in the country for them to consider."

Mitt Romney pals around with Anne Coulter
Posted by Terry Carter at 2:20 PM | 0 comment(s)
I just stumbled across the video below while doing random YouTube searches. It shows Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney palling around with Conservative neo-con and Fox News 'pundit on call' Anne Coulter at the CPAC 2007 right before Coulter went on stage and used a homophobic slur to describe John Edwards.
COULTER: You know, a photo of you and me together is going to be famous when you do something I don't like and I viciously attack you.
ROMNEY: Never, that will never happen, never will happen.
As some of you may remember, Anne Coulter has expressed several times that "Canada is lucky we allow them to exist on the same continent as us." So in essence, Mitt Romney is promising to wipe out Canada, he's promising to allow for the unquestioned (and unethical) torture of suspected terrorists, he's promising to ban homosexuality, ban abortion, and force Christianity down the throats of Americans everywhere!
Later in the video....
COULTER: No, they don't understand! We hate Liberal Atheists! You can't get these sectarian wars going with us. We're all Christians.
ROMNEY: There's no Sunni or Shia here.
Is that supposed to be funny? Poking fun at sectarian violence, and clash of different religious cultures? Not my idea of a joke.

For those trying to sugar coat the death of Falwell

For those trying to sugar coat the death of hate squad leader Jerry Falwell (::cough:: Al Sharpton), take a look at this. It's a video of Falwell just last week reaffirming his belief that gays, feminists, and Liberals are all responsible for the September 11 attacks.

Tommy Thompson endorses Depends
Posted by Terry Carter at 6:10 PM | 0 comment(s)
Earlier this week, Tommy Thompson and his team of (clearly) grossly under qualified campaign staff tried to convince Americans that a broken hearing aid caused him to give an extremely bigoted answer to a question at last week's Republican debates. What lame excuse are they offering up now? Well, lets just say Tommy Thompson could totally be the new spokesman for Depends.
Tommy Thompson cited a dead hearing aid and an urgent need to use the bathroom in explaining on Saturday why he said at a GOP presidential debate that an employer should be allowed to fire a gay worker.Speaking to reporters after giving an address at the state GOP convention, Thompson also said he was suffering from the flu and bronchitis and had been admitted to a hospital emergency room three days prior to the May 3 debate.
"Nobody knows that," Thompson said. "I've been very sick. ... I was very sick the day of the debate. I had all of the problems with the flu and bronchitis that you have, including running to the bathroom. I was just hanging on. I could not wait until the debate got off so I could go to the bathroom."
Hmmm, I've never known bronchitis NOR the flu to cause BLADDER control problems.
UPDATE: By the way, Thompson's official campaign website list his views on marriage as the following:
Governor Thompson believes marriage is between a man and a woman. He supports states’ rights in determining the definition of marriage and believes it should be done legislatively or by referendum.
So Tommy, you want to put the rights of a minority up for a popular vote? While at the same time making statements like this:
There's nothing discriminatory about me at all.
HAH! I call bullshit.

Tommy Thompson pulls the 'deaf' card!
Posted by Terry Carter at 6:15 PM | 0 comment(s)
Good news! Tommy Thompson doesn't hate gay people, he just can't afford a hearing aid that works!
Republican presidential candidate Tommy Thompson continued to defend himself Wednesday for an answer he gave during a debate last week — saying employers should have the right to fire gay workers — and said the misunderstanding could be attributed to his hearing problem. So, if that's true, here's how it looks on paper:The former Wisconsin governor said he thought he had been asked whether enough laws are on the books to protect gays, but his hearing aid went out during the debate.
Question: Are enough laws on the books to protect gays?
Thompson: I think that should be left up to individual employers.
Ha ha! Tommy Thompson, you don't have a broken hearing aid, you just suck at spin jobs, and your shit show staff needs to learn better damage control.

AS PROMISED: More proof that racism, and bigotry is perfectly acceptable in the Republican Party
Posted by Terry Carter at 1:30 PM | 7 comment(s)
Yesterday I promised details would be forthcoming regarding a staffer for a Republican Congressman from Ohio holding racists beliefs. So here we go, last week while browsing Craigslist ads for apartment listings in the Washington, DC metro area, I received the following email (click the image to enlarge if the font appears too small to read in your browser window):
I scanned the email rather hastily, since I was about to head out the door, and sent a reply saying that I would be interested. I responded using the email address I setup for my old blog, which contains the name for my (old) blog in it (ie: "myname"@capitoltalk.com).
After two days I still hadn't received a response, so I began to get a little suspicious -- mainly that this was perhaps a Republican staffer who, upon receiving my reply, visited my old blog, and realized I was a Democrat, thus he (may have been) no longer interested in rooming together.
This "suspicion" grew even more when I checked my old blog's visitor log for the past week, and noticed I had received several hits from the domain name "senate.gov." I then went back to reread the email and noticed the sender had specified he preferred a white roommate. After that, I began to get really curious as to who this might be, so (with some assistance) I did a little "investigating." Turns out this Mr. James Molina is the Legislative Correspondent for Representative Mike Turner (R-OH), who represents the third district in Ohio.
So I'm just curious, since there's absolutely no reason that Mr. Molina would only be interested in white roommates other than being a bigot, does his employer Representative Mike Turner from Ohio also condone racism? Given his voting record, it wouldn't surprise me.
